QA Tools

Automated QA checks are by no means a complete and perfect solution to replace all human quality assurance, especially in the case of small, morphologically complex languages like Estonian, Latvian and Lithuanian, but they are an indispensable part of the QA process. Application of standalone tools like Verifika and X-Bench as well as the inbuilt QA functonalities of CAT tools like memoQ or SDL Trados Studio form an integral part of every project, helping us ensure terminological consistency, accurate and complete conveyance of all factual information and compliance with project requirements.

We have developed our own in-house QA tools for MTPE tasks, as some of the language-specific tasks cannot be met with a required level of efficiency using commercially available software. As demand for high-quality MTPE rises, we expect to continue and increase investment in the development of these tools and procedures.

DTP and layout of documents are not among the core services of Technica Translations, but we have the capacity to provide these services to our customers, e.g. as an additional service for texts translated in Technica Translations, or to long-term customers who need help with DTP tasks.
We are not a design company, however, and do not provide sophisticated design services.

Our translation and post-editing workflows are built around server-based CAT tools. The ability to work with dedicated teams even on large and recurring projects, while retaining maximum flexibility with regard to the expectations of our most valuable linguists and the related infrastructure costs is one of the key advantages provided by these solutions.

Machine translation, although a term with a wide range of meanings, is no longer the future of translation, it is the present. Hundreds, if not thousands of developers are building and improving their MT systems, new technologies are evolving and huge investments made.
